Willie Batson is a relationship coach, a pastor, and the author of two books:
Tools for a Great Marriage and Tools for a Great Marriage Devotional. He has taught for
more than 45 years on marriage, parenting, and personal spiritual growth topics.
Willie and Debbie were married in 2022 following the deaths of their spouses. While
newlyweds, they have a wealth of real-world marital experience – Willie was married to
Cindy for 45 years and Debbie to Rick for 34 years.
Debbie is a dental professional, a teacher, and a youth athletic coach, and she recently
completed a course with the National Academy of Sports Medicine to become a Certified Wellness Coach. She joins Willie in coaching married and engaged couples.
In combining their families, they now have five adult children and 11 grandchildren. The Batsons live in East Tennessee during the colder months and in New Hampshire during the warmer months to be near their grandchildren.
The path that led them to each other is marked by the evidence of God’s goodness in their lives. They believe with all their hearts that God brought them together in this season of their lives to help people build Christ-centered relationships that will endure.

You may not hear the marriage mindset discussed much, but it should be. Simply put, what you think about marriage dictates what you will experience in your marriage. Even more so, it’s important to know how to renew your mind in God’s Word in order to have (and keep) the right mindset for marriage.
